My blog posts, that is.
I am about a week from having my fourth child. Holy Cow! I can't believe I will have four kids in a few days. I'm excited to meet this little one. I went to the doctor this morning and he was asking about what and how I want to handle everything with labor and delivery. I love my doctor. I found him late in this pregnancy-about 26 weeks along. I was just sick of my other doctor and waiting an hour for a five minute appointment. I am so glad I made the switch. It is just exciting to have a baby. Exciting and nerve wracking. I never know how labor will go and having done it naturally twice-I do not want that again. I am excited for the kids to meet her. Ruby and belle are super ready for her to come and we keep talking about names for the baby. I love that they have an opinion about it. I kind of want to let them name her. But Belles choice is "fluffy waggle bottom" or something like that. Funny girl.
My house has never been cleaner though. I am keeping up on everything because I don't know when the little one will come but I want everything clean and sparkly. Plus it helps the time pass. Laundry is usually getting washed and PUT AWAY in the same day. It is a true miracle.
My in laws are coming to help on Dec 10th for a few weeks-through Christmas I think. I wish my mom was coming but I don't think she wants to. So, I guess I will take what help I can get. I am kind of hoping the baby will come before they get here. To have a few days by ourselves to adjust before we have visitors. So, the prayers are starting that she will come a little early.
The kids are doing good. Ruby loves school. Belle loves horses. George loves cars and trains. I love sweets. Matt loves the show Almost Human. Baby loves being snug and warm in my belly. It will be a Merry Christmas for sure!!
It's all about them
Inhaling their goodness...their littleness...and the opportunity of moments I can never get back years to come. My littles await.

Happy Birthday to my Belle!!
My Belle Belle is 4 years old today! What a four years it has been! Belle is a fun, funny, sassy, smart, creative and beautiful girl! We are blessed and so lucky to have her in our family!
A few things about Belle: right now she really into horses and dogs. As of about two months ago, she was really scared of dogs, something switched and now she loves them. She loves to pet any dog she sees and just the other week at the petting farm she was able to ride her first pony. She was scared at first but she overcame it because she loved the little horse so much. I am really proud of her for overcoming her fears on her own. She is a brave little girl. Belle loves Primary and her friend Josie who is in her class at church. She loves to dress up. She loves all of her stuffed animals and sleeps with a huge pile of them in her bed. She has always been kind of a loner but she has become more interested in playing with friends lately. She has gotten really good at saying her prayers by herself. She also started her first dance class and she is doing great! She has grown so much in the past few months and I'm excited to see what this next year will bring for her.

I have a blog?!
Holy lapse in blog posting! So much has happened in the past year, there is no way to recap so I will start with today. A good place to start if you ask me!
This morning Belle, George and I took Ruby and Abigail to school (we started carpooling with the Wards this week!) We left Matt cleaning up the recycling in the garage. I just throw it in a bin outside the door and then we place it in the big bin when it is overflowing-well, it was indeed overflowing! I'm just glad we recycle now. I'll admit to throwing cereal boxes and cans in the garbage when I'm too lazy to open the door and throw it outside. Maybe it is me being rebellious-I don't know but HOLLA for recycling!
The girls were really cute in the back talking like little teenagers. And Belle was trying to pipe in when she could but she was really just rocking out to the Sophia the first cd playing in the car. We came home and changed clothes (Ruby: "mom, why are you wearing your pj pants in the car?") and got ready for Belle's dance class. She really loves her class and she is precious in her pink leotard. Me and George went to Kroger to get a few things. It's been a good morning so far. It's nappy time for Georgie in a few minutes. I hope Belle feels like napping today. I could really use a rest. I had two naps last week so I can't complain but this baby girl is really kicking my butt this pregnancy. Tiredness overload!!! Maybe the other 3 kids have something to do with it but who knows!
Life has been good lately. I am living the dream that I've always wanted. Amazing cute husband, gorgeous children, house with a fenced in backyard, mini van and food in the cupboards. I was thinking how blessed we are this morning and the security we feel in our lives. It is nice.

Happy Fathers Day!!
Happy Fathers Day to the best Dada in the world. I can't even begin to express what a great father Matt is. He loves Ruby, Belle and Georgie so much and wants the ultimate best for them. Everything he does is for them-to make them feel secure, loved and happy. He works all day at his job and comes home and gets right down to it with all of us. He either holds or feeds Georgie while I bathe the girls, or bathes the girls or just helps out any way he can. You can see him down on the floor with Ruby playing with her squinkies or playing hide and seek with the girls. He walks Georgie for me and changes diapers. I couldn't believe it the other day when I heard another dad of a newborn didn't change diapers or help with the baby at all. I know I am so lucky and blessed to have such a great husband and father for our family. And my kids are sure blessed to have him as an example in their lives of a hard working, loving, fun and righteous dad. Happy Fathers Day Matt!!!

Ruby's 1st dance recital-beware! Cuteness overload!!
Ruby was in her first dance class this year and was in her first recital last weekend. She was such a star and we were so proud of her on stage. They were so darling and did such a great job! The theme was Under The Sea and the girls were sting rays. It was serious cuteness overload!!!

update
Last night Georgie didn't wake up until 3am...so he did give me a good 5 hours sleep! What a good baby! But then I couldn't get back to sleep until 5 when he woke up again I guess because I felt so "refreshed" from all that sleep...but still 5 hours!

One of those days
Today was one of those days where I did not want to get out of bed. I knew there were 3 little ones waiting for me-bouncing off the walls and just happy to be alive. I love their energy and enthusiasm for everything around them but this morning all I wanted to do was pull the covers over my head and sleep for another five hours. I am a tired mama. But get out of bed, I did. I honestly can't remember what we did this morning. Isn't that sad? The days seriously blend together lately. But now I am remembering a little-after Belle was down for a nap I wanted to practice writing letters with Ruby. We did that for less than five minutes and then I gave her some scrapbook paper, some kid scissors and glue and told her to go to town with it. She loves cutting and gluing. While Belle and Georgie were sleeping, the afternoon slump hit and I knew we had to go somewhere or I would pass out. So, as soon as the kids were up we jumped in the car and headed to Homegoods, about 35 minutes away. On the way out of our neighborhood, I noticed that I didn't have my carmex and that we were pretty low on gas but I knew we could make it up there and I figured I could live w/o my carmex for awhile. SO we kept going. When we got there, I realized that I didn't have my wallet. I couldn't believe it. Which meant I couldn't get my retail therapy nor the gas that I needed. I just turned the car back on and headed home super frustrated at myself. While it wasn't the greatest day on the records, some nice things happened also. I had dinner in the crockpot so I didn't have to stress about making dinner. Matt came home at a decent hour. I bathed my cute baby. He loves his bath and I love having a clean baby. I was going to clean the kitchen after dinner and Belle comes in and asks if I can hold her while she watches her Baby Einstein video. I jumped at the chance and snuggled with her for awhile and just relaxed knowing the kitchen could wait awhile. I cut Matt's hair. And now the house is semi clean, the dishwasher is running, the kids are all asleep. I am going to take a shower to wash the day off and go to bed and hope that my boy will give me a good five hours of sleep for the first leg of the night. SO, all in all life is good. I am sad I didn't get to shop at Homegoods but I know we saved a lot of money because I forgot my wallet.

are you my good baby??
Every night after we read stories, change diaper, say prayers and turn off the light, I hold Belle and ask her "are you my good baby Belle Belle??" And she always answers yup or hm mmm. Even though we have Georgie to take her place as the baby of the family, I want her to know that she will always be my baby Belle. What can I say about Belle as of late??? Man, this girl is a firecracker! She has the such a sweet gentle personality but then she can also be insane and unreasonable, I mean completely unreasonable. I mean, she is 2 1/2. Craziness is our household because of my baby Belle. Love my girl though. She is like a little sponge right now, as are all my children right now. But Belle is picking up on everything I do and what ruby does-from voices to faces to mannerisms. It really is funny, but kind of scary. When I hear Belle replicate my mad voice, it makes me realize that I must use it alot for her to use it the way she does. So, I have been working on it and trying to be more patient with my kids and not yell at them so much or use unkind words. But Belle is such a cutie. Some things I love about Belle:
Her eyelids! She has such beautiful almondy eyes that show jsut the right amount of eyelid. Like, when she is old enough to wear eye makeup in 30 years, her eyes are just going to pop and be even more beautiful than they are, if that is possible.
I love her snuggles. Little girl loves to be held and snuggled by mama. And I love to take time during the day just to hold her.
I love that she calls Georgie "dorge"
She has a lot of her bedtime books memorized and will read them to me if I ask. I especially love listening to hear read Little Blue Truck.
She loves her "milkie"
She loves to run and walk. Mind you, this girlie has only been walking about a year now so to see her little legs and feet walking and running is awesome. I am trying to have her practice her jumping lately. She will get it soon.
Belle has become so much more social. She will go into nursery now without crying and when we are around family or cousins, she will play and talk. I love it. We were at Nates house over Easter weekend and Belle and her cousin Silas, who is 4 months younger then her, were talking and playing Thomas together. I heard Silas say, "hey Belle" and Belby responded "whats up Silas?" See, she is my mini me.
One other thing is that Belle loves Ruby! Love might be an understatement. If Ruby is wearing a dress, Belle has to wear a dress. Ruby has a ponytail or tinkerbell bun, Belle has to have one too. Even though it was hard to have those girls so close together, it has been awesome also. They will grow closer each year and I love that they will be in school together and probably have the same friends. I just love my girls so much. And even though Belle loves Ruby and wants to be just like her, she can play by herself and do her own thing also. She has such a great personality and I can't wait to see how she grows and develops as she get s older.

lately...
I have been meaning to post lately but haven't gotten around to it. Life is seriously hectic and busy with these 3 little ones to keep me busy. Laundry is piling up, floors are going unvacuumed, dishes are not being done and bathrooms are dirty (well as dirty as I can stand)!! But we are still alive and well.
Ruby is turning 4 a week from today. I can't believe she is getting to be such a big girl. Tonight when I was putting her to bed, we were making a list of all the things she can do by herself and it was a long list. I am so proud of the girl she is becoming and her sweet disposition. She is learning so much and has really taken an interest in learning her letters and wanting to write them so we will start working on them next week. She LOVES baby George. Repeatedly, throughout the day, I have to tell her to get out of his face because she loves to, well, get in his face and make sounds and faces and sing songs to him. He always smiles and laughs but poor baby still needs his own space. She is such a good helper. She and Belle are getting along really well. They fight alot too but they are good friends and love each other a lot. I know Belle will miss Ruby when she starts preschool in the fall. Ruby loves wearing dresses and shoes. She loves putting barrettes in her hair. She loves to play and dance and sing. She loves crafts and being creative. She has a lot of friends at church and dance class. She is very social and fun. She is such a good girl and we love her so much!

Belby the witch
Last night we had some friends for dinner. They were delicious! Just kidding. Anywho, they have 4 girls and everyone was having a grand old time running and screaming all over the house after dinner. I noticed that they were screaming "the witch, the witch is coming!!" As Ruby ran past, I asked her who was the witch and she yelled back that Belle was the witch! Then a few seconds later, Belby is running after everyone yelling the same thing, "the witch is coming!" Poor baby didn't realize that she was the witch! It was sad and hilarious at the same time. So I ran after her, grabbed her and ran up the stairs and we were the witch together so that she had a chance at getting the girls! It is so fun having kids!

a little bit of this
Last night I was sitting on my bed nursing baby and Matt was walking to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He stepped on something, bent over, picked it up, saw that it was a little Pascual from Rapunzel and threw it aside. It was a cute little thing and I am grateful to have kid stuff all over the house. Well, some days I am not but the past few weeks I have not been stressing about the cleanliness of the house and toys are everywhere but I am ok with it. Having a new baby in the house is crazy and perfect at the same time. The girls are really good helpers and are playing together so great that I have time to nurse and hold baby during the day. He loves to be held and cries a lot when he is put down but he is too cute for words and I love my little boy. A few things about baby George: he has a little storm doppler hurricane swirly cowlic in the front of his hairline. I love it and think it is the cutest thing ever. He does not love binkies. I am his binky. His eyes are the perfect almond shape and when they are open and he is alert, he looks like a little dolly. His booty fits in my hand. I love when I am burping him on my shoulder and he snuggles in and really relaxes on me. He usually likes to be cradled so when he does this, it is SOOOOO sweet! He is a good night sleeper at night. He wakes up to be fed and then usually goes back to sleep. He likes to have his hands up by his ears and face. He still cries when we change his diaper. He does not like the cold wipes on his booty. I should really switch out the wipe warmer from Belles room because she doesn't care. Her booty is desensitized to the temperature of wipes. Georgie loves to be in the bath. I take a measuring cup and gently pour warm water over him while I am cleaning him and it calms him down. He is a precious boy and I can't get enough of him.

Taking his time
I wish my kids would give me a break and come a little early!! Today is my due date, a Sunday, and I really wish he was coming. Both my girls were born on Sunday and I wanted to keep going with that tradition. I love that they were born on the sabbath. So, he could come in the next few hours or come next Sunday, on Christmas??? Would that kill me?? Kind of, I will just wait and see when he is ready. The doctors wanted to induce me tomorrow but I cancelled it on Friday because I don't really believe in induction unless there is some sort of problem. It is pure convenience it seems. For the doctors and mothers. I am not judging at all for anyone who has been induced I just felt it was not for me. Plus I would rather labor at home until the last possible second and go to the hospital to deliver the babe-o. That is just me. So, I felt so much better when I cancelled the induction. I have been having contractions for the past few weeks off and on but they started again on Wed but have not developed int o anything noteworthy. In fact, I am having some right now but nothing to take my breath away. So, here I am waiting to meet my baby son and I couldn't think of a better time than Christmas. Hopefully he shows me his cute scrunched up face soon!!!
